Risk Levels
Battle-tested protocol with strong security across all vectors.
Generally safe but has areas for improvement in one or more vectors.
Significant security concerns. Exercise extreme caution.
PASS / FAIL Rating
Every protocol receives a binary PASS or FAIL rating alongside its numerical score. PASS requires a Security Score of 70 or above (grade B or higher). Only 14% of Solana DeFi protocols currently pass our threshold.
Security Vectors
Oracle Diversity
20%Measures how many independent price oracle sources a protocol uses. Protocols relying on a single oracle are more vulnerable to manipulation or downtime.
Time-lock
15%Evaluates whether governance or admin actions require a time delay before execution. Time-locks give users a window to exit before risky changes take effect.
TVL Concentration
15%Assesses how concentrated the total value locked is across pools. High concentration in a single pool increases systemic risk for the protocol.
Admin Key
20%Checks whether the protocol has a multisig, DAO governance, or single admin key. Single admin keys represent a central point of failure.
Audit Recency
15%Evaluates when the protocol was last audited by a reputable security firm. Older audits may not cover recent code changes or new attack vectors.
IL History
15%Tracks historical impermanent loss patterns for the protocol's pools. Protocols with consistent high IL may indicate poor pool design or volatile pairings.
Methodology
Each protocol receives a score from 0 to 100 based on a weighted average of the six security vectors above. Scores are recalculated every data cycle using on-chain data and public audit records.
We do not accept payment from protocols to modify their scores. The methodology is deterministic — the same inputs always produce the same score.
Security scores are informational only and do not constitute financial advice. Always do your own research before depositing funds into any DeFi protocol.
